The 2026 Melrose Film Festival is now accepting digital submissions through May 1 via the FilmFreeway website. Filmmakers from any location may enter, and Florida filmmakers can submit one film free of charge by emailing the festival address with proof of residency.
Accepted categories include AI Shorts, Animated Shorts, Documentaries, Micro Short Films and Short Films. All entries must be ten minutes or less and follow the festival rules, which are posted on the FilmFreeway page.
The festival will be held in person on Saturday September 26 at the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity at Orlando Public Library. Selected films will be screened, with special consideration given to Florida filmmakers, and winning films may be broadcast on local television.
