Event details
- When: Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 11:30 AM
- Where: R1:101: Research 1, Room 101
- Category: Workshop/Conference
- Presented by: Office of Research Cyberinfrastructure Events Team
The workshop will demonstrate how generative and agentic artificial intelligence can be applied within and alongside MATLAB and Simulink. Participants will see examples of using AI to create and refine code and models, explore algorithms, run simulations, automate repetitive tasks and accelerate design iterations. The session will also introduce core agentic AI concepts and explain how the MATLAB and Simulink platforms support these workflows, emphasizing validation, refinement and confident application of AI‑generated results for engineering and scientific work.
Learning objectives include an overview of agentic AI fundamentals, instruction on connecting MATLAB with AI agents and the MCP framework, and exploration of custom skills available through MATLAB and Simulink Agentic Toolkits. The event will not be recorded; any presenter materials will be emailed to registrants by the end of the second business day after the session. Materials can be requested by email two business days after the event for those who did not register. The presentation is led by Evan Cosgrove, Ph.D.
