The Orange County Library System compiled a Best Books of 2025 list with the help of 26 librarians, reviewing titles released between November 2024 and October 2025 that may not have appeared on bestseller or celebrity lists. The selections are featured throughout the December magazine with book covers and descriptions, and the library offers the titles in print, e‑reader and audiobook formats.
In December the system will host a local author festival on December 14 at the Orlando Public Library, a holiday Nutcracker performance by the Central Florida Ballet on December 7, and a musical Snow Queen presented by Atlantic Coast Theatre on December 20. Additional programming includes writers’ meetups, workshops, career‑development events, and winter‑themed storytimes for children. The library serves the community through its 15 locations, online resources and outreach events in 2026.
