The Osceola Library System is accepting original short stories, poems and artwork for its literary magazine LitMag. The 2026 issue invites participants to base their work on the theme Once Upon a Time, encouraging reinterpretations of fairy tales, modern legends or original fantasy settings.
Entries may be up to 1000 words and are open to children and teens ages 8 to 17. Submissions are accepted through the library’s online portal until Saturday February 7 2026. Selected pieces will appear in the printed magazine available at all library branches and in a digital version on BiblioBoard, with one artist’s work featured on the cover. Authors and artists whose work is published will be invited to a reception for a live presentation.
